The Clinton County YMCA has released its Happenings for the month of November.
Enroll In Learning Ladder
We are now enrolling children ages 3 to 5 years of age for our Learning Ladder Early Learning Preschool and Childcare program. At the Y, we believe that early learning sets the foundation for a child’s ability to learn later in life. At the Y, we prepare children for school socially and cognitively by utilizing a play based curriculum called Creative Curriculum. As a Paths to QUALITY Level 3 provider we are designated as a high quality child care.
In an effort to ensure that early learning is available to all children in our community we are an On My Way Pre K and CCDF provider. If you are in need of financial assistance to send your child to preschool please visit https://www.in.gov/fssa/carefinder/on-my-way-pre-k/.
For more information about our program please visit our website or reach out to our Early Learning Director at [email protected].

As we continue to face the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, getting vaccinated against the flu has never been more important.
Date and time:
Nov. 14 from 8 a.m. to noon (while supplies last)
Location:
Clinton County Family YMCA

When severe enough, symptoms of the flu can cause hospitalization and even death.
■ Getting a flu vaccine every year is the best way to protect yourself and your family from the flu.
■ While no vaccine is a 100% effective, the flu vaccine has been proven to reduce your risk of being hospitalized with the flu. It can also reduce flu illness and your risk of missing work and school due to the flu.
Grab ‘n Go Meals
We are excited to be giving out dinners to those K-18. Those who come can take as many meals as needed, no questions asked. We will be at each site for around 10 minutes each.
Thanks to the USDA Grant, we are able to serve these nutritious dinners to those in our community. At the Y, we understand that COVID-19 and other factors have affected those in our community. We hope to do our part to show that we will always lend a helping hand.
