County rivals Clinton Prairie and Frankfort played their season opener at Clinton Prairie Wednesday night and it was a packed house.
The anticipation of excitement with the Hotdogs and Gophers is always high and did not disappoint. When the final seconds ticked off the score board it was Clinton Prairie over Frankfort in a non conference game by the score of 49-38.
Clinton Prairie’s sophomore Jake McGraw was high scorer with 21 points, followed by Layne Horlocher with 8 points, and Cayden Davis with 6.
Frankfort’s Kye Kirby was high scorer with 14 points, followed by Quentcy Perry with 6, and Cayden Jarman adding 5.
Frankfort JV defeated Clinton Prairie in a very close match up by the score of 39-36.
Frankfort’s JV high scorers were Lucas Waggoner with 23 points, and Jonathan Bautista adding 7.
Clinton Prairie’s JV high scorers were Nick Curtin with 10 points and Seth Whitlock with 9 points.
Clinton Prairie will travel to Sheridan on December 2nd and Seeger on Dec 3rd.
Frankfort will travel to Tipton on Dec 2nd and Western on Dec 3rd.
Rossville lost to Harrison (West Lafayette) Friday night by the score of 72-29 and will travel to Western Boone Saturday Nov 26th.
