Clinton Prairie Volleyball Sweeps Frontier; Swan Reaches 1000 Assists

Clinton Prairie defeated Frontier in straight sets on Thursday. The Gophers won 25-10, 25-13, and 25-18.

“I think it was a really good team effort last night,” Clinton Prairie head coach Kathy Martin said. “We limited our errors and kept the ball in play. Our defense and serve receive set us up for success offensively. Overall I’m really proud of our play.”

In the match, senior Abbey Swan eclipsed 1000 career assists for the Gophers.

“Abbey reaching 1000 assists is just a small testament to her career as a volleyball player,” Martin said. “She’s on track to hit 1000 assists, kills and digs by the end of the season. Abbey is a heck of a player and her volleyball IQ is astronomical. She’s the type of player that you want as part of your team and makes a huge difference in the program.”

Swan leads the team in assists, kills, and digs this season. Congratulations to Swan on her monumental achievement.

The Gophers move to 7-6 with the win. They will be in action again on Monday at home against Tri-County.
