Clinton Prairie’s Hayden Kemple Continues To Break School Records – Including His Own

On Friday night Clinton Prairie Sophomore Hayden Kemple ran in the Carmel 3200m Showcase with the time of 9:30.80 for a 3200m. This beats the CP school record of 9:38.51, which was set by Hayden earlier this season at the indoor state finals. The previous record going into this season was held by Jesse Cacy (2005) with a time 9:42.45.

Hayden also put up a notable 1 mile time at the Flashes Mile, hosted by Franklin Central on April 14th. His 1 mile time of 4:31.44 converts to a 1600m time of 4:29.87, putting him 5.2 seconds off of the 1600m school record.

All of this is coming off of a cross country season where his best time in the 5k was a 16:01.5, a mere 1.5 seconds off of the long-standing record of 16:00 set by Chris Boesch in 1996.
