Clyna “Carol” Barber, 89, of rural Frankfort passed away October 14, 2025 at Mulberry Health.  She was born July 27, 1936 in Strunk, KY to William Henry & Matilda “Tilda” (Stephens) Spradlin.  She married Richard Edwin “Red” Barber on September 1, 1962 and he preceded her in death on June 8, 2008.

Carol was a homemaker.  She enjoyed volunteering, being a foster parent and cooking for her family.

Carol is survived by her children; Rick (Ethan Tan) Barber of rural Frankfort, James (Kim) Amonett of Cambria, Kenneth (Karen) Amonett of Sheridan, Randy (Kasey) Barber of Kokomo, Rodney (Kelli) Barber of Russiaville, Ronnie (Nini) Barber of Lafayette, Russell Barber of Russiaville, Teri (Jeff) Boyer of Houston, TX, Susan (Butch) Welch of Anderson, caregiver, Scott Spall of Frankfort, 19 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, daughter, Tina Tague, granddaughter, Shania, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.

Visitation will be from 2-3 p.m. Monday, October 20, 2025 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort.  A graveside service will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Hopewell Cemetery, 3460 E. County Road 500 N., Frankfort.   Please visit goodwinfuneralhome.com, where you may leave a condolence.
