The outing invited every couple regardless of their current statuses to join together at Exploration Acres, a corn maze and pumpkin patch attraction at 6042 Newcastle Rd. in Lafayette. Exploration Acres hosts a corn maze, pumpkin patch, campfire and much more that the couples were encouraged to partake in together to form a community amongst themselves.

“We had a great turnout at our Stronger Marriage Outing this past Sunday at Exploration Acres,” the organizers wrote. “Couples from Colfax Christian Curch enjoyed our three favorite F’s together–food, fellowship and fun.”

While the couples were expected to pay for their own admittance into the attraction, the Stronger Marriage Team rented a fire pit for the attendees to enjoy as well as provided hot dogs, chips, drinks and s’mores. The event saw nearly 20 individuals embark on a journey of building community alongside their peers and fellow couples at Colfax Christian Church.

Colfax Christian Church will continue its October events on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 8 a.m. with the Men’s Breakfast where men of all ages can come together to enjoy fellowship and study God’s word as well as Sunday, Oct. 29 at 10 a.m. for the Fifth Sunday Pitch-In where community members will be invited to join the church for a pitch-in meal directly after the service. For the pitch-in, community members are encouraged to bring a covered dish or dessert to share.
