The Colfax Town Board announced its plans to host a Halloween costume contest this year with the help of the Facebook community.
Colfax will host a Halloween contest at the Marshal’s Office at 210 Main St. in Colfax on Oct. 31 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The board encouraged every community member, whether dressed as a scary monster, a princess or a movie character, to enter the contest for the chance to win. The contest photos will be posted to the Colfax, Indiana Facebook page, and the community is invited to vote for the winner of the contest by leaving a “like” on their favorite photos. The winner of the contest will be displayed as the Colfax, Indiana Facebook profile picture in honor of their participation and effort to piece together their costume.
“Attention all ghouls, goblins and unicorns, the Colfax Town Board would like to have a Halloween contest,” the board posted. “We hope to see you (at the Marshal’s Office) Oct. 31, 2023, 6 to 8 p.m.”
The contest will be held during the official Colfax trick-or-treating hours of 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 31.
