Colfax Library Hosts Open House & Dedication For Brenda Kinslow On March 9

The community has been invited to celebrate with the team at the Colfax-Perry Township Public Library as they celebrate their new renovations of the library as well as honor a long-time member of the team who helped shape the library into its thriving atmosphere that it continues to uphold.

The celebration will be held on Sunday, March 9 at 2 p.m. as an open house and dedication at the library at 207 S. Clark St. in Colfax.

Visitors will be treated to a tour of the renovated facility as well as light refreshments.

The event will also host a dedication in memory of Brenda Kinslow, who served as the Director of the library for 30 years, also serving as the Director of the Plainview Cemetery Sexton since 2017.

Kinslow was a 1981 graduate of Clinton Prairie High School, a member of the Colfax Methodist Church and a member of the Colfax Historical Society.

According to her friends and family, she enjoyed reading, sewing and camping, but her greatest joy was her family and loving her grandkids.
