The Town of Colfax announced that beginning Friday morning, Oct. 18, Crenshaw Paving will be resurfacing Oakland Street, and vehicles must be moved prior to the beginning of the project to avoid towing fees.
The paving will include Oakland Street from West Jefferson to North Columbia. No streetside parking will be permitted, and parking beside the street will not be permitted within approximately 10 feet of the road.
If vehicles are not moved prior to the start of the paving, they will be towed at the owners expense.
The Town also announced that parking may resume in the empty lot next to the Town Clerk’s Office at the corner of Oakland and Franklin Street. The Town stated that drivers parked in the lot whose vehicle experiences damage or theft may not hold the Town liable.
