Colfax Releases Parking Instructions Ahead Of Ole Hickory Days Festival

The Town of Colfax has announced instructions for cars parked in the downtown area ahead of the Ole Hickory Days Festival slated for Aug. 2 and Aug. 3 this year.

The town stated that as the festival approaches next week, vehicles must be removed from the downtown area to ensure that setup for the festival can progress smoothly.

The town has stated that beginning on Wednesday, July 31, all cars parked on Main Street from Columbia Street to Meridian Street must be moved by morning for the town employees to clean Main Street ahead of the festival.

The town continued to state that on Thursday, Aug. 1, all cars must be removed from Columbia Street to Meridian Street for festival setup.

By the morning of Aug. 1, all vehicles must be removed from the town lot at the corner of Main Street and Oakland Street for festival setup as well.

“Thank you in advance for you assistance,” the town released. “The police department will also be placing notices on vehicles next week to remind everyone.”

The town stated that vehicles not moved by 5 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 1 will be subject to tow at the owners expense.
