Colleen Jean Laflen, 91, a former Frankfort resident, passed away December 7, 2025 in Freedom, Wisconsin. She was born August 9, 1934 in Frankfort to Sidney & Georgia (Cohee) Grinstead. She married Norman Laflen on September 3, 1960 in Frankfort and he preceded her in death on May 7, 1992.
Colleen was a 1952 graduate of Frankfort High School and a lifelong resident of Frankfort, prior to moving to Wisconsin. She worked 12 years at Gaffney’s Style Shop prior to becoming a homemaker. She was a member of the Eastside Christian Church in Frankfort. Colleen enjoyed knitting baby blankets and booties that she often donated to the Clinton County Hospital. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and making Christmas candy for all to enjoy.
Colleen is survived by her son, Scott (Lana) Laflen of Combined Locks, Wisconsin, 3 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Laflen, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. December 19, 2025 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Green Lawn Cemetery Mausoleum next to her husband. Memorial donations may be made to the Clinton County Cancer Fund or American Heart Association; envelopes will be available.
