Commissioners Award Two Community Crossings Projects

The Clinton County Commissioners on Wednesday approved the bids for two Community Crossings Matching Grant road projects.

Milestone Contractors, L.P. was awarded the first project for the Manson-Colfax Road at a cost of $551,975.50. INDOT’s portion of the project is 75 percent which comes out to $413,981.63, while the county’s portion is 25 percent which comes up to $137,993.88.

Project two was awarded to Central Paving Inc. for paving various streets in Forest at a cost of $217,612.70. INDOT’s portion is $163,209.53, while the county portion of $54,403.18.

The combined total of the two projects of $769,588.20.

Clinton County Highway Superintendent Kevin Myers said he wasn’t sure when the projects would start, but added he hoped the projects would be done around the late spring to early summer time period.
