Commissioners Dedicate Bridge on Gasline Road to LeRoy Good

LeRoy Good holds the plaque he was given dedicating Bridge 46 in his honor. Surrounding Good, from left, is Commissioners President Josh Uitts, Commissioners Mark Timmons and Jordan Brewer, and County Attorney Tom Little.

The Clinton County Commissioners dedicated Bridge #46 to LeRoy Good during a special ceremony Tuesday morning at the Clinton County Courthouse.

Good, who is 100 years old and served in World War II, was honored with a bridge that is south of his home on Gasline Road. He was also honored on the 80th anniversary of the day World War II started when Japan bombed Pearl Harbor.

In other news, the Commissioners, on the recommendation of a study done by Butler, Fairman and Seufert, approved putting a new four-way stop at the intersection of 300 East and 700 Green, which has been the site of a couple of fatal accidents and other serious accidents.
