Commissioners, Frankfort Mayor Issue Statement on COVID-19

Clinton County Commissioners Josh Uitts, Steve Woods and Scott Shoemaker, along with Frankfort Mayor Judy Sheets, have released a statement in light of Governor Eric Holcomb’s press conference Friday afternoon. The following is that statement.
“In light of the announcement of Governor Holcomb’s five stage plan to reopen Indiana,  we have decided to lift the travel advisory for Clinton County.  We strongly encourage everyone to follow the guidelines set forth in Stage 2 of Governor Holcomb’s plan.  Continue to exercise social distancing, wash and sanitize your hands often, and wear a face mask when out in public.  We still have a long way to go, but we are committed to the gradual reopening of our City and County.
“Local government offices, City and County, will be staffed during normal business hours.  Visits to these offices by the public will be by appointment only for the time being.
“There are plenty of people who have continued to work on the frontlines during this outbreak.  The grocery workers, manufacturing workers, healthcare workers, truck drivers, EMS, Law Enforcement, and Firefighters.  We cannot thank you enough for your efforts.
“It is our hope that better days are ahead.   We will continue to do our best to keep everyone safe and get everyone back to work.”
Sincerely,
Mayor Judith Sheets
