Commissioners Take Road Project Bids Under Consideration

The Clinton County Commissioners agreed to take road resurfacing bids they received Monday for County Road 100 North under consideration.

The Commissioners received six different bids for the Community Crossings Grant project. Bids ranged anywhere from $917,911.44 to $1,961,762. Commissioners President Josh Uitts said they will make a decision at their next meeting on Monday, June 17, at 9 a.m.

The Commissioners also accepted a bid of $6,200 from Ridenour Excavating to demolish a house at 8921 E. North St., in Hillisburg.

In related news, the Clinton County Drainage Board, which the three Commissioners chair, gave the go ahead to due the John T. Price/Joseph B. Blackburn regulated drain reconstruction. This drain is located in Sugar Creek Township in southeastern Clinton County.

The total cost of the reconstruction is just under $285,000.
