Community Celebrates Independence Day At TPA Park

The heat and humidity didn’t keep folks away Monday from the park as record numbers of people came out to celebrate the 4th of July.

There were many vendors, Pound with Amy & Zumba, Lazer tag, Music by Eliana Weston, The Peaceful Kings, and The Indigos, Basketball, and a lot of community enjoying the day.

There are photos in the photo links below that show adults and children with laser guns for the LASER TAG GAME.
Just so you know they are toys! Everyone that played had a wonderful time. No one was hurt and is quite a different game than the paint ball guns. It actually was a pretty neat outfit and they came all the way from Cincinnati,Ohio to run the event.

The main event was the Fireworks by the Frankfort Jaycees.
They got a bit of a late start due to several factors, The rain was the big factor, but also the very high humidity plays a role in safety.

A fact some people do not know is that Frankfort Indiana is the largest hand lit fireworks show in the state.
Given these facts there were some quirks but still the fireworks show went on and you can watch the beauty in photos by Patty Keaton Parks, The ground video by Angela Hunter Ford, and the video and Aerial and drone coverage by Erick Dircks.

The Park was well maintained throughout the day by the Parks department and both the City Police and Sheriff’s
and Fire Department.

Let’s not forget the Commons Golf Course not only had a full house for golf all day but was able to provide golf carts for all departments including Clinton County Daily News to bring you all the activities possible in photos, We at Kaspar Media thank you for the carts.
