The Colfax Christian Church has encouraged the community to save the date for the upcoming Dorcas Annual Auction set for Friday, March 14 at the church.
Dorcas is the ladies’ ministry at the church, and the women of Dorcas are noted for their dedication to serving the community by hosting the annual Ole Hickory Days pancake breakfast, organizing funeral dinners, sending greeting cards, hosting women’s events and much more.
The annual auction acts as the biggest means of raising funds for the ministry.
The event will kick off at 6 p.m. on March 14 with a meal before the auction opens at 6:30 where community members can bid on homemade items, big-ticket items and much more.
The Dorcas ladies are requesting any donations of baked goods, homemade items, gently-used bags and household items for the auction. Donors may contact Colfax Christian Church for donation information.
