Graduation dates for the four high schools in Clinton County Class of 2018 have been announced. Three of the schools — Frankfort, Clinton Central and Clinton Prairie — will all have graduation dates at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 26. Rossville will have its graduation on Sunday, June 3, at 2 p.m.
Stem Camp, a summer kids workshop for those in grades 1-8, will be held June 4-8, June 11-15 and June 18-22. Camp is hosted for its 10th year at the Learning Network. Classes still open for enrollment include: ‘Lego Storytelling on I-Pads’, ‘Lego Robotics programming’, Lego simple machine construction’, board and interactive games and sewing among others. The next United Way for Clinton County and Center Township of Clinton County Community Drug Conversation will be held Wednesday, May 23, in Room 219 of the Frankfort Community Public Library at 4 p.m. This event will feature of panel of political leaders.
The Frankfort Community Public Library is having an evening of free music at Harry’s Coffee Bar on Thursday, May 24, at 6 p.m. Mike Flowers will be performing in a Music Down Under feature. The Clinton County YMCA is hosting a kick off celebration with games, food (hot dogs, chips and water) and fun on Tuesday, May 29, from 5:29-7:30 p.m. at the YMCA located at 950 S. Maish Road. The Paul Phillippe Resource Center, 401 West Walnut Street, is hosting its 31st Annual Strawberry Festival on Friday, June 1, from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will be hot dogs, coney dogs, chips, drinks, strawberries (sugar fee available), angel food cake and ice cream. The Red Barn Summer Theatre will have a 50th Anniversary Season Gala called ’50th and Foreward’ at Arborwood on Friday, June 1, at 5:30 p.m.The evening will include a reception including drinks and heavy hors d’eouvres and a program featuring past company members whom have gone on to successful careers in theater and the performing arts. The three-show season opens June 13.
