The Clinton County Chamber of Commerce announces that Thursday Thunder returns to downtown Frankfort on Thursday, June 7, with a Sock Hop and Cruise In at Veterans Park from 5:30-8 p.m. There will be music from the 50’s and 60’s by DJ Jay Large and contests galore.
The Mulberry Community Club is sponsoring a Chicken and Pork Barbecue on Saturday, June 9, from 4:30-7 p.m. at the Mulberry Community Park. Half chicken is $8 in advance/$9 at the door, one pork chop is $6 in advance, $7 at the door, and two port chops are $8 advance, $9 at the door. All meals include baked beans, slow or applesauce, bread and butter, chips and a drink. Dessert is available for $1. The Clinton County Family YMCA is hosting a Local Heroes Day on Saturday, June 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This is a community event to help show the kids in our community what they can aspire to be, who they can look up to when they need someone and to help parents and kids involved in productive activity that can guide them away from joining the drug epidemic and can give them hope when being bullied. The 2018 Optimist Law Camp for students entering sixth, seventh and eighth grades will be held June 27-30 at Anderson University. This four-day camp is an exciting look at the profession of law enforcement offering field trips, exciting demonstrations and motivating programs. The Frankfort Optimist Club will select and sponsor one eligible boy and one eligible girl from the applications, which are available by calling 765-659-2919 and be received by June 8.

The INSpace Camp will be held July 23-27 at the Frankfort Municipal Airport from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily for students ages 8-14. 2018 kicks off their newest adventure called Mars Next!
