Frankfort Unified Neighborhoods (FUN) Committee and Healthy Communities of Clinton County Coalition are sponsoring a Jack-Lantern Jamboree and Halloween Parade on Saturday, October 27, from 6-9 p.m. at the Clinton County Fairgrounds. Parade line-up starts at 5 p.m. behind the hospital and parade starts at 5:30 p.m. All ages are welcome. Following the parade, there will be a DJ, Cake Walk, S’mores, Hotdogs, Trunk-or-Treat, Hayride and more.

 

Frankfort Main Street is inviting everyone to participate in their Annual Trick-or-Treat on the Square on Wednesday, October 31, from 5:30-7 p.m.Churches, organizations, businesses and citizens are invited to come out and participate. All community members are welcome to come out, park their cars, fill their vehicle trunks with goodies and give them out to the children as they walk by. The Colfax Historical Society Presents the first Hickory Harvest Festival scheduled for Saturday, October 13, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Colfax-Perry Township Public Library Grounds in Colfax. There will be Artisan vendors, food vendors, live bluegrass music, demonstrations by Tippecanoe Power and Steam Association, Pioneer Games for kids and a historical hayride through Colfax.

 

The Third Annual Oktoberfest will be held on Saturday, October 13, from 5-10 p.m. at Veterans Park in downtown Frankfort. There will be beer, food and music. Tickets are $5. Kirklin’s Octoberfest and Flea Market will be held Saturday, October 13, in downtown Kirklin (Highway 421 in Clinton County). Shopping begins at 8 am.. Enjoy the flea market with antiques galore, holiday crafts, kettle corn, hog roast with all the fixin’s, 12 antique and specialty shops, two family restaurants, ice cream parlor and live music by the band Triple Threat. The Eagle Harvest Ministries Chicken Noodle Dinner and Bake Sale will be held Saturday, October 13, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the church located at 1380 N. State Road 39, Frankfort. Menu will include mashed potatoes, green beans, cole slaw, bread and butter, cookies and drinks. Tickets are $10 for adults, children age 4-12, $6 and children 3-and-under are free. The Camp Cullom Annual Chili Supper will be held Saturday, October 13, from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Adults are $8 and children under 12 are $4. Tickets are available in advance at the Chamber office at 62 N. Main St. Plan on staying afterwards to enjoy s’mores around the fire and a wonderful wagon ride to see the camp. The observatory will be open at dark for viewing well into the night.

 

South Side Christian Church at 201 E. Markland Ave., Kokomo, is having an Oven Steak Dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 20. This will include a dinner with steak, potatoes, green beans, roll and drink, along with a bake sale and silent auction. Tickets are $8 each. Pie is available for $1 a slice. Trinity United Methodist Church at 806 North Columbia Street in Frankfort will have a gospel concert featuring Westward Road on Saturday, October 20, at 6 p.m. This is a free will donation event.

 

Indiana Ghost Doctors is sponsoring a Car, Bike & Truck Show plus a Kids Car Show (Push, Pull or Drag) at Parkview Home, 1501 Burlington Avenue, on Sunday, October 21. The Frankfort Lions Club is having a Chili Dinner on Thursday, October 25, from 4:30-7 p.m. in the 4-H Building at the Clinton County Fairgrounds. Cost is $8 for adults, children 5-12 are $5 and children under 5 are free. Carry out will be available.

 

The Clinton County Civic Theatre will be holding its first show of their 30th season on October 25-28 in the Skanta Theatre at the Frankfort Community Public Library. Trinity United Methodist Church at 806 North Columbia Street in Frankfort will be having a Ham Loaf Dinner on Saturday, October 27, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Menu includes ham loaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, harvard beets, cole slaw or applesauce, dessert or drink. Howard County Extension Homemakers are now taking orders for apple dumplings. If you have ever had one, you know how fantastic they are. If you have never had one, you are missing out. Frankfort Covenant Academy invites you to its 15th Annual All You Can Eat Soup Supper and Auction on Thursday, November 1, from 5-7:30 p.m. at the 4-H Building, 1701 South Jackson Street, Frankfort. Cost is $8 ($9 at the door) for ages 11 and up, ages 5-10 is $6 ($7 at the door) and ages 4-and-under are free. Individuals can dine in or carry out (carry out limited to three bowls per ticket). St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 2029 S. State Road 39, will hold a Soup Supper on Friday, Nov. 2, from 4:30-7 p.m. Donations will be used for holiday gift baskets for the community. Carry out or eat-in-meal includes soups, breads and desserts.

 

The Clinton County Fairgrounds Winter Storage Program is scheduled for Saturday, November 3 beginning at 8 a.m. Reservation are not accepted as entry is on a first come-first served basis. The charge is $10 for each foot in length for each item stored. The date for owners to retrieve their equipment will be Saturday, March 23, 2019, at 8 a.m. For more information, call 659-6306.

 

Union Baptist Church at 8280 E. County Road 800 North, Forest, is having a Pulled Pork Barbecue Supper on Saturday, November 3, from 5-7 p.m. Menu will include pulled pork/pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, cheese potatoes, slaw, dessert and drink.
