The Holiday Festival of Lights at TPA Park will run from 6-10 p.m. nightly until January 1. Santa’s Kitchen will be open from 5:30-9 p.m. each night through Christmas Eve. Get in the Holiday Spirit with Oaklawn Acres Christmas Lights. Lights are on nightly from 6-10 p.m. and will remain on to Saturday, December 29. Visiting hours are Sundays through Thursdays from 6-10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays will be from 6-11 p.m. Oaklawn Acres is located two miles southeast of Rossville at the corner of 300 West and 800 North.
The Frankfort Optimist Club’s Annual Christmas Tree Sale has begun. It is being held in the parking lot behind Hawaiian Shaved Ice on State Road 28 in Frankfort, just west of Dairy Queen. Hours are 4-7 p.m. Monday through Friday, Saturdays 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays 1-7 p.m. The sale will continue for approximately two weeks. Proceeds support the Optimist Club’s projects for area youth. Plus, Boy Scout Troop 311 will receive a portion of the proceeds for assisting with the sale.
The Clinton County Fair Council’s Winter Storage Program will conclude Saturday, December 1. RVs, boats, campers, antique cars, etc. will be accepted from 8-10 a.m. Space may be available for up to 18 units in Clinton Hall and the Livestock Show Arena. Reservations are not accepted. It’s all first come, first served. The lease rate is $10 per foot measured from front to back. All units in winter storage are to be removed on March 23, 2019.
The Haan Museum of Indiana Art in Lafayette is hosting Christmas Make-and-Take on Thursday, November 29, from 6-8 p.m. Everyone is invited for an evening filled with creativity and holiday cheer. Frankfort Unified Neighborhoods (FUN) is having a “Movie With Santa” event on Saturday, December 1, after the Christmas Parade in the Skanta Theatre on the second floor of the Frankfort Community Public Library. Individuals can meet Santa and watch the movie “Polar Express” from 4-7 p.m.
Center Township is leading a new program called TEA (Team for Elderly Assistance). This is made up of a group of community volunteers to aid the elderly within Center Township with snow shoveling and salt assistance for sidewalks and walkways for the winter.
