Confirmed Tornado Hit Area Overnight

Clinton County EMA met Saturday morning with the National Weather Service.  The National Weather Service has determined a tornado, classified as a F1.10, started near the Montgomery County/Clinton County line approximately 2 miles South of Colfax.  The tornado traveled on the ground moving towards Frankfort where it lifted near the Green Lawn Cemetery.

In a release from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security (IDHS), Hoosiers impacted by severe storms that occurred overnight on March 31 and April 1, are asked to contact Indiana 211 to report damages and help with damage assessment.

To help establish a comprehensive assessment of damages, residents can call 211 or visit the Indiana 211 website.

Agricultural damage should be reported to the Purdue Extension.
