Conservation District Hosting Women’s Learning Circle

On October 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Clinton and Carroll County Soil and Water Conservation Districts’ will host a Women’s Learning Circle for women landowners.  The event will be held at Camp George C. Cullom near Frankfort, IN.  The focus of this year’s workshop is Woodland Management.  Connect one-on-one with local natural resource professionals to have your questions answered and to learn about resources to help you manage your woodlands, promote wildlife habitat, manage invasive species, apply for cost-share programs and find technical assistance.

The Women4theLand Conservation Learning Circle is a women-only, peer-to-peer, informal discussion about conservation, individual land stewardship goals and information sharing.

The Women’s Learning Circle is a model being supported by Women4theLand, a partnership of agricultural and natural resource conservation agencies and organizations working together to provide information, networking opportunities, education and resources to Indiana women landowners and farmers.

This event is FREE to attend, however space is limited to the first 20 RSVP’s.  Preferred registration is reserved for women who own or lease ground in Clinton or Carroll County.  The day will include tours of the Camp Cullom woodlands and a local woman landowner’s property.  Reasonable accommodations for the field tour can be made if notified in advance.

Locally prepared lunch, snacks and handouts will be provided!  RSVP responses requested prior to October 1st.  Register today at Eventbrite:  https://www.eventbrite.com/e/women4-the-land-conservation-learning-circle-tickets-70293354315 Or contact Leah Harden at 765-659-1223 extension 3 OR email [email protected]
