County Commissioners Rescinding Face Mask Order

The Clinton County Commissioners voted unanimously Monday morning to rescind their order on the wearing of face masks effective Tuesday, April 6.

“The governor’s order for face masks is being rescinded tomorrow,” said Commissioners President Josh Uitts. “We are also rescinding our order as it pertains to government buildings that we’ve had in place since last year. We’re going to leave it (wearing of masks) up to the individuals office holder and the individual building operators for county government.”

Uitts added this is for Clinton County government buildings only. Businesses, churches, schools and so on will be allowed to keep the same mask ordinance as they have in the past.
