Couple Arrested After Tip From Public Results in Traffic Stop

On Friday, Frankfort Police Department was notified of a vehicle traveling in the 1500 Block of East Wabash St that matched the suspects in a theft posted on social media from Pizza King.  FPD officers conducted a traffic stop in the 300 Block of East Washington Street.

Initially, one of the occupants who knew he had warrants, reported a false name.  Unfortunately, the false name given was also wanted by another county.  Officers, realizing the deception, were able to correctly identify the person.  Both subjects were arrested and transported to the Clinton County Jail.

The information gained from our investigation will be sent to the prosecutor’s office to review charges for the Pizza King theft as well as additional charges earned today.

Arrested were:

23-year-old Bailey Leary of Noblesville on Warrants out of Hendricks and Boone County as well as Identity Deception.

35-year-old Tiffany Leary of Noblesville on Driving While Suspended Prior and Operator Never Licensed.

“We are so grateful to the citizen who called Central Dispatch with this information,” stated Chief Scott Shoemaker. “Their tip, along with the fast response from officers, ensured these two individuals were located and arrested.
