CSF Names New Assistant Principal at Frankfort High School

The Community Schools of Frankfort Board of Education named Trisha Hartman as its new assistant principal at Frankfort High School on Tuesday night.

“Trisha comes to us with two years experience as an assistant principal at Renssalaer Central High School,” said Superintendent Don DeWeese. “She has coaching and teaching experience at Lafayette Jeff and in Yorktown. Her references spoke so highly of her skills as an educator. We are excited to have Trisha on board.”

Hartman got her bachelor’s degree from Franklin College, masters degree at Purdue and did her administrative classes through Indiana Wesleyan. She replaces Matt Hines, who resigned the assistant principal position earlier this month for a similar position at Avon High School.

The board also named James Beyers as the new interim head football coach at Frankfort High School following the resignation of head coach Eric Davis earlier in the day.

“James is an English teacher for us at the high school,” said DeWeese. “He’s got two years experience as a head coach at Seeger High School. He’s also served as assistant football coach here at Frankfort, at McCutcheon and at Benton Central.”

DeWeese said he found out about Davis’ resignation after lunch on Tuesday.

“Our head football coach tendered his resignation today and with practices starting next week, we just didn’t have the time to go through the hiring process,” said DeWeese. “We looked at our staff and went with James Beyers. We feel like James will be a quality interim head football coach.”

DeWeese said the district still has three positions to fill — one at Suncrest and two at Frankfort Middle School — before the start of school on August 8. However, he said he feels confident those positions will be filled before the start of school.
