Danville Man Arrested After Allegedly Driving School Bus While Intoxicated

A Danville man has been arrested for allegedly driving a school bus while intoxicated, the arrest comes after a lengthy ISP investigation.

April 15, 2026 the Indiana State Police received allegations of a man driving a school bus while under the influence of alcohol. Sgt. Joel Flores of the Indiana State Police initiated the investigation, he reviewed on board video from the bus as well as spoke to school officials about the situation.

Based on all the information gathered and evidence reviewed, Sgt. Flores filed for an arrest warrant through the Hendricks County Court. Earlier today, 52 year old Micah McClain was arrested at his home. He now faces the following charges:

Neglect of a Dependent – L6 Felony
Operating While Intoxicated Endangering a person under 18 year old – L6 Felony
Criminal Recklessness – L6 Felony
Speeding in a School Zone – Class C Misdemeanor
Holding a phone while driving – Class C Infraction
Unsafe Lane Movement – Class C Infraction
Disregarding a Stop Sign – Class C Infraction

The charges above were listed on the arrest warrant. All suspects are considered innocent until and unless proven guilty in court.
