For the second time in two years The DAR (Daughters of the Revolution) held a grave marking. This time in Kirklin at the Old Town Cemetery with a good turn out of residents also several family members of Thomas Resgan of the (Revolutionary War) were able to come to Kirklin from as far away as Texas to witness the event.
Clinton Central Choir, Band, and FFA were a part of the event Saturday.
Alan Stowers of Kirklin reported that “There are actually 15 Revolutionary Soldiers” buried in Clinton County and as of date there have been grave marking for two of them. It takes around a year to do all the footwork to be able to hold a grave marking and the DAR works to be able to bring us events like Saturdays grave marking event to honor them.
DAR – Daughters of the American Revolution is a non -profit, Non Political organization that works to promote patriotism, history, and education.
