David E. Flora

David E. Flora, 83, of Rossville, formerly of Cutler, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at his home.  He was born April 19, 1941, in Cutler to Herman D. and Catherine (Mohler) Flora.  He married Millie Layman on June 3, 1962.  She survives.

David attended Cutler High School.  He worked as a project manager for ACP Cryogenics in the Cryogenic Tank industry for nearly 60 years, and worked on the family farm raising hogs and grain.  He was a member of Culter Ridge German Baptist New Conference Church. Along with working on the family farm, David enjoyed camping and fishing.  He was a family man, and loved spending time and making memories with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Along with his wife of 62 years, David is survived by his children, Jana (Steve) Crist of Sunnyside, Washington, Scott (Lisa) Flora of Cutler, Tracy (Jim) Wade of Cutler; a brother-in-law, Irvin Lair of Englewood, Ohio; nine grandchildren, Trenton Flora, Travis Crist, Brandi Dahms, Meg Flory, Dustin Crist, Kaitlyn Hufford, Wyatt Crist, Kenlyn Hufford, Madison Graybill; seventeen great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Nancy (Jim) Brovont and Gerald (Loretta) Flora; and sisters-in-law, Bonnie Lair and Carol (Dean) Denlinger.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Cutler Ridge German Baptist New Conference Church from 9-11am and 12pm until the time of the service at 3pm.  Burial will follow at Culter Ridge German Baptist New Conference Church Cemetery.  Day & Genda Funeral Home ~ Bodine Chapel in Rossville is assisting with the arrangements.  Messages of condolence may be left at www.dayandgenda.com.
