David L. Beals

David L. Beals, 75, of rural Michigantown, Ind., died March 15, 2021 unexpectedly at his home.  He was born October 9, 1945 in Hamilton County, Ind. to John & Evelyn (Shelley) Beals.  He married Linda (Unroe) Oberhoulser on June 15, 1974 and she preceded him in death on December 30, 2008.

David was a 1963 graduate of Frankfort High School and a graduate of Indiana Business College.  He retired from ADM in Frankfort after working over 40 years.  He was a long-time member of the Hope United Methodist Church before becoming a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church.  He was involved in church league softball, and long-time member of the Fun Time Band.  He was also a long-time Frankfort High School videographer for the boys & girls Hot Dog Basketball teams. David enjoyed fishing, golfing, woodworking, gardening, traveling and loved his dog, Daisy Mae.

He is survived by his daughter:  Shelley (Ryan) Perlee of rural Michigantown, step-son:  Andrew Oberhoulser, sister:  Patricia Ireland of Indianapolis, nephew:  Brian Beals, whom he treated as a son, 7 grandchildren:  Austin (Conner Pierce) Perlee of Muncie, Kade Perlee of rural Michigantown, Joshua Jackson of San Diego, CA, Jake Jackson of Frankfort, Brittney (Reece Mennen) Milner of rural Frankfort, Blake (Kynsey) Milner of Stockwell and Tobin Oberhoulser of Illinois and 8 great grandchildren.  In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Jane Ann Oberhoulser in 2011 and 2 brothers, Robert Beals and James Beals.

Funeral Service:

 Visitation will be 5:30-8 p.m. Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort.  Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 19, 2021 at the funeral home.  This service will be live-streamed.  To participate, please follow the link on our website.  Entombment will be in Clinton County Mausoleum in Green Lawn Cemetery.  Memorial donations may be made to St. Matthew United Methodist Church, 1951 Wilshire Dr., Frankfort, IN  46041.
