Community members County-Wide and ministers from 12-18 churches will gather on the North Side of Old Stoney Thursday May 2 at Noon. The gathering is part of the annual National “Day of Prayer” suggested by John Adams in 1775.
All community members are invited to meet on the north side of Old Stoney starting at noon. Clinton County Ministerial Association President Dr. David Fry said the purpose of the Day of Prayer in Clinton County is to provide the opportunity for all who pray to “come together” and “lift up our community”. After the 30 minute gathering, a hot lunch will be served across Clinton Street at the Primera Iglesias Bautista Church north of Old Stoney.
In years past, prayer was lifted up for:
- First Responders
- Caregivers
- Leaders and Services
- Teachers and Students
- Community Relations
- Businesses
- City of Frankfort
- Faith and Ministry Community
- The Nation
This will be the first year for the National Day of Prayer gathering to take place on the North Side of Old Stoney. For the past four years, Clinton County’s National Day of Prayer gathering was held at Veteran’s Park.
All are invited.
