Deadline to Pay Spring Taxes is May 10

The Clinton County Treasurer’s Office mailed property taxes last week. The Spring installments are due Wednesday, May 10. Payments can be mailed in, made in person, paid online, or made at First Financial Bank in Rossville.

If you mail in your payment, please enclose the tax coupon and check and mail it to 220 Courthouse Square. Envelopes must be postmarked on or before the due date or late penalties will be applied. Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope if you would like a receipt.

If you make the payment in person, you can do so in the Clinton County Treasurer´s Office on the second floor of the Courthouse Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. A drop box is also located on the north side of the courthouse building for those paying by check. Please include your tax coupon.

If you pay online, go to www.clintonco.com, click on Pay My Taxes Online, and use a credit or debit card or e-check. Please note there will be a 2.5% charge for credit and debit card transactions and a $1.00 fee for e-checks.

If you pay at First Financial Bank in Rossville, you must have your tax coupon with you and pay the exact amount on the coupon. Payments can be made during normal business hours.

If the Spring payment is not made on or before May 10, a five percent penalty will be added if there is no delinquent amount. A ten-percent penalty will be added for a previous delinquency or if payment is made after June 9, 2023.

Making partial payments does not relieve the taxpayer of late penalties, extra fees, or the property being subject to a tax sale. Fall property taxes will be due Monday, November 13.
