Delores B. Nance, 92, of Frankfort, entered eternal rest on September 29, 2026. She was born on November 1, 1933, to Charles and Ruby (Kellogg) Mann. On November 12, 1954, she married James C. Nance. They shared 56 years of marriage and built a loving life together until his passing in June 2011. Together, they welcomed three children.
A lifelong resident of Frankfort, Delores was a member of First Baptist Church and Women of the Moose. She enjoyed bowling and participated in leagues for 16 years. Delores loved her Cincinnati Reds and IU basketball. She also cherished playing cards and spending time with her friends and family, creating many wonderful memories along the way. Delores worked as a bookkeeper for Carr Cabinet for 30 years and Hinshaw Roofing for 16 years.
Delores will be lovingly remembered by her children, Richard (Marsha) Nance of Murfreesboro, TN; Janet Thomas of Frankfort, IN, and Bruce Nance of Lafayette, IN; grandchildren, Ryan (Jenny), Katie, Luke, Melissa, and Laura; great-grandchildren: Addison, Ethan, Ellie, Avery, Owen, Luna, Liam, Julianna, and Emma Grace; and sister, Dortha Lou Rader.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James C. Nance; her parents, Charles and Ruby Mann; brothers, Charles, William, and Donald; and sisters, Mary Laughlin, Julia Michael, Ethel Goodwin, Rose Kressel, and Martha Decker.
A visitation celebrating Delores’ life will be held Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Burial will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery in Frankfort. Memorial contributions may be made to Wesley Manor Good Samaritan Fund and or Wesley Manor Employee Appreciation Fund.
