Deloris K. Stoops, 76, a life-long Frankfort resident, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019, at Wesley Manor. She was born August 21, 1942, in Frankfort, to the late Bernard and Charlotte (Bailey) Stoops.
In 1961, Deloris graduated from Frankfort Senior High School. Deloris was a career hairdresser, owning her shop and working at Wesley Manor. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Red Hat Society and Order of the Eastern Star where she served twice as Worthy Matron and past State District Deputy. Deloris loved traveling especially to Branson, baking, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Surviving Deloris are her brothers, Phil (Millie) Stoops, of Frankfort, Jim (Helen) Stoops, of Cutler, and Bill (Pat) Stoops, of Chillicothe, Ill.; companion, Marc Sappenfield, of Frankfort; and several nieces and nephews.
Order of the Eastern Star service will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at Harmony Hall in Wesley Manor to honor Deloris. A gathering of family and friends will follow in Harmony Hall from noon to the start of the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Chuck Williams will officiate. Memorials in Deloris’ name may be made to First Baptist Church, Order of the Eastern Star, or Wesley Manor Employee Appreciation Fund.
