The Hoosier Heartland Conference is expecting to add a new member in 2019 with the addition of Delphi High School.
The Oracles, who have been participating as an independent in athletics since departing the Hoosier Conference after the 2014-2015 school year, is expected to join the league after the Delphi Community School Corporation Board of Trustees meeting on March 12 where that decision is expected to be finalized.
Delphi had made inquiries about joining the league over the past couple of years due to no available openings. That all changed when conference members Frontier, North White and Tri-County elected to join the new version of the old Midwest Conference.
With the expected addition of Delphi, the Hoosier Heartland Conference will consist of nine teams, including Carroll, Clinton Central, Clinton Prairie, Eastern, Rossville, Sheridan, Taylor and Tri-Central. Rossville does not compete in football.
