Delphi Homecoming, Football Reunion Night, Hall Of Fame Induction Ceremony Set For Tomorrow Night, Oct. 4

The Delphi Community School Corporation announced its upcoming Homecoming, Delphi Football Reunion Night and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony set for tomorrow, Oct. 4.

Prior to the Homecoming game, two former greats on the field will be recognized, including Terrie Berto and Tanner Lynde, into the Hall of Fame and Ring of Honor.

“A night to remember, as we celebrate two former greats, and reminisce at Berto Field,” the school released. “Tanner was previously inducted, but due to COVID restrictions and scheduling issues, we are finally able to hold his induction.”

Kickoff for the game is set for 7 p.m. For former football players and coaches, admission will be free. Alumni may sign in at the gate on the correct sheet for their graduation class, which will award them an All-Access badge that allows access to the end zone tailgate and everywhere in Berto Field.

As well, hamburgers and hot dogs will be available for a free will donation at the player and coach north end zone tailgate. All proceeds from the donations will benefit the Junior High Football Team.

Due to Hurricane Helene, the Youth Football Night was rescheduled, and the players will be announced in the pre-game with mini-cheer performing throughout the first half and in the first quarter break.

During half-time, Gas City Corvettes will escort the Homecoming Court and Class Golf Cart Decoration Competition Parade.
