As we near the one year anniversary date of the murders of Abigail Williams and Liberty German the Indiana State Police and the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department are providing this brief update on the status of the investigation. Both agencies remain fully engaged with investigative personnel assigned to the case. Most recently, the result of the international attention from exposure of the investigation on the Dr. Phil Show, this investigation remains in the public eye and additional leads are being investigated.
As the second year of this investigation commences on February 13th, the most visible change will be the base of operations. As many will recall, the investigation was originally headquartered above the Delphi City Hall and later moved to the REMC building on Franklin Street, in Delphi. Now, moving forward, the need for such a large dedicated area is not necessary and the investigative base of operations will be relocated back to the office space above city hall.
It is important to acknowledge and thank the Carroll White REMC members, Board of Directors, Management Team and Employees for their gracious support providing a base of operations at the Franklin Street REMC building since February of 2017. This facility provided more than adequate space needed to investigate leads in the critical initial months of this ongoing investigation. Moving forward, Mayor Shane Evans, on behalf of the City of Delphi, has arranged for outside law enforcement personnel to utilize space in Delphi’s city municipal building where all involved investigators and support staff will be able to work closely with other local law enforcement officials.
Without doubt, someone, somewhere has the tip needed to bring this investigation to a successful conclusion. We urge anyone with this information to either call the toll free number tip line at 844-459-5786 or email the tip to: [email protected]. Callers to the tip line may remain anonymous.
