Delphi Lady Oracle, Four Clinton County Softball Players Receive Indiana Softball All-State Designations

The Indiana Softball Coaches Association has announced the recipients of the 1A and 2A First Team All-State honors, including the star pitcher of the Delphi Lady Oracles and numerous members of Clinton County teams.

The association announced that Lady Oracle Lexi Miller was named as an Indiana Softball All-Star and a member of the North-South All-Star Team. Miller has striven during the season to pad her stats with as many strikeouts as possible, breaking 1,000 career strikeouts this year.

“It is a great honor to be one of the best senior softball players in the state of Indiana and to be selected to participate in the All-Star Classic,” the Lady Oracles released. “We are extremely proud of you.”

The All-Star weekend will be held June 21 and June 22 at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana at the Andy Mohr Softball Field at 1873 N. Fee Ln. in Bloomington.

The Andy Mohr Field has become known in the state for hosting the Indiana University Softball team and is located on the north edge of the Indiana University Bloomington Athletics Campus near the 45/46 bypass.

The weekend will host two games on Saturday, June 22 at 10:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. Admission will be $10 for family and fans with free admission for those 12-years-old and younger.

The field provides both stadium and bleacher seating options and a grassy hill beyond the outfield for visitors to utilize for the games.

The First Team All-State designation was also awarded to Avery Layton of Rossville, Kortney Surber of Clinton Central, Carly Davison of Clinton Central and Addison Gorbett of Rossville.
