A Delphi officer launched a fundraising campaign amongst the department to collect funds to replace a local child’s bicycle that had been stolen.
Earlier this year, a local child named Giovanni had his bike stolen in the Delphi area. When the City of Delphi held its Christmas party at El Rinconcito Mexican Restaurant, Office Daron Dennis spoke with Giovanni and learned that his bike had not been replaced nor recovered yet, which spurred a thought during the giving season.
Dennis launched an effort to take up donations from Delphi officers to buy him a new bike, which was presented to him over the weekend.
