Delphi Power Outages Continue; City Launches Clean Up Efforts

The Delphi area is still experiencing around 117 power outages according to the Duke Energy outage information as of 12 p.m. on Tuesday, July 16 due to the severe storms that swept through Carroll County last night, causing power lines to be downed.

The main power outages that have been reported along Riley Road in Delphi are reportedly being addressed as they were first reported just after midnight on Tuesday, July 16 with a cause of extreme weather in or near the area that resulted in downed power lines.

According to the information, 99 customers in the area are experiencing the power outage with an undetermined time of restoration.

The City of Delphi stated that power lines and trees are still down throughout the city with clean up efforts being launched throughout the day involving several departments and agencies.

Community members are instructed to avoid areas that have a downed powerline and vacate areas with downed powerlines immediately upon identification.
