Delphi Community School Corporation will begin a series of facility improvement projects this summer aimed at enhancing safety, modernizing learning environments, and strengthening district operations. Funded through bonds, the projects will take place across multiple school sites and district facilities, with construction scheduled to begin in late May and continue through July.
One of the key improvements includes enhancements at Delphi Community Middle School, where a secure entrance will be constructed along with an updated main entrance canopy. These upgrades are designed to strengthen school safety by ensuring all visitors enter through a controlled access point while also improving the overall appearance and functionality of the building’s main entry.
At Delphi Community Elementary School, work will focus on the development of the Little Oracles Childcare Center, a new childcare space. This project supports the district’s broader vision of building a cohesive birth-to-graduation system, expanding opportunities for families, and addressing local childcare needs within the community.
Camden Early Childhood Center will also see significant upgrades, including improvements to its (HVAC) systems, along with updated gym lighting. These enhancements will improve energy efficiency and create a more comfortable and effective learning environment for students and staff.
In addition, the district’s administration building will undergo renovations, including the creation of a new boardroom and community space, along with office enhancements. These updates are intended to improve functionality, support collaboration, and provide a welcoming space for meetings and engagement with families and community members.
All projects have been carefully planned and will be completed in phases to minimize disruption to students, staff, and families.
“These improvements reflect our ongoing commitment to providing safe, modern, and student-centered learning spaces,” said Superintendent Dr. Pamela Moore. “We are excited to invest in our facilities in ways that directly support our students, staff, and community.”
The district will continue to provide updates as construction progresses and appreciates the community’s support and patience throughout the improvement process.
