Delphi baseball coach Ryan Long got his 600th career coaching win last Thursday when Delphi defeated Tri-Central 11-5.
With the win, Long joins 34 other Indiana coaches to make it to the 600-win mark. The win was also Long’s 196th at Delphi, passing Tony Berto for most in Delphi history.
Long has been the Delphi coach since 2015 after serving as the head coach at Frontier from 1996 to 2014.
He’s amassed nine Sectional titles, four Regional titles and 12 conference championships in his career.
Long has the Oracles surging this season. Delphi is 17-4 and tied for first in the Hoosier Heartland Conference. After winning four straight Sectionals from 2019 to 2023, the Oracles haven’t advanced out of the Sectional round, but look poised to make a run this year.
