Diana L. Moore, 78, of Kirklin, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, October 21, 2026. She was born June 27, 1948, in Frankfort to Charles and Dorothy (Koppleman) Evans. She married Jesse Dalton Moore on September 10, 1966. He preceded her in passing on January 26, 1986.
Diana was a graduate of Clinton Central High School, Class of 1966. She then graduated from Huffer’s Beauty College in Kokomo in 1967. She then worked as a beautician many years and then went to work at Wal-mart for several years before her retirement 2018. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and enjoyed flower gardening, playing cards, going to garage sales with her sister, attending fall festivals and doing word search puzzles. Diana loved people and loved life. She enjoyed life’s moments and sharing them with friends and family. She was a hardworking woman that you could often find her being busy around the house, and with her family.
Diana is survived by her sons, James and Jason (Melissa) Moore; brother, Dave (Deb) Evans; sister, Kathy (Kenny Waters) Crick; sister-in-law, Beth Evans; grandchildren, Sasha, Caitlin and Kelsie; great grandchildren, Braiden, Aniston, and Rowan; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Along with her beloved husband, she was preceded in passing by her parents; a son, Joe Moore; brother George Evans; nephew, Brian Crick; and great nephews, Corbin and Jadon Crick.
Visitation will be Wednesday, October 28, 2026, from 4pm until the time of the service at 6pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Graveside committal will be Thursday, October 29, at 11am at Green Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Diana’s honor to the American Cancer Society.
