Dick Rausch, 78, of Rossville, passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020 at IU Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. He was born in Lafayette, on November 20, 1942, to John Joseph and Loreen (Pruett) Rausch. He married Jerilyn Fontinel on May 4, 1989; she survives.
Dick was a 1960 graduate of Brook High School and attended Purdue Agriculture courses. He had been a farmer in the Chalmers area from 1965 to 1978 and retired from Double R Construction in 2013. Dick was a member of the Rossville Lions Club, attended the Rossville Brethren Church and enjoyed woodworking, cycling, gardening, camping, fishing, but most importantly enjoyed his grandchildren’s events.
In addition to his wife, Dick is survived by his sons Dennis (Beatrix) Rausch of West Lafayette and Kevin (Tammy) Rausch of Rossville; daughter, Cheri Jacobs of Ft. Collins, CO and step daughter Marci Reinhardt of Florida; sister, Martha Ann Lashbrook of Florida; grandchildren, Riley, Sarah, Matt, Bobby, step granddaughter Ksenia, Connor, and a great granddaughter Ava.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2020 from 12pm to 2pm at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel with the funeral service following at 3:00 pm. Pastor Allen Weldy will officiate.
