The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) seeks volunteers for its annual Fishin’ Pond at the Indiana State Fair, which runs Aug. 7-23 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis.

The Fishin’ Pond is a popular, immersive, and free fishing experience for ages 5-17. Volunteers handle various duties including registering participants, baiting hooks, removing fish from the hook, preparing fishing equipment for use, and guiding participants around the pond. Volunteer training will be provided by DNR staff before the event.

Learn more and register as a volunteer at on.IN.gov/fishing-pond.
