Donald E. Norfleet, 63 of Frankfort passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at his home. He was born September 16, 1960, in Monticello, Illinois to Herbert Norfleet and Donna (Sechrest) Hanna. He married the love of his life, Debra Summitt on December 7, 1985, and she survives.
A 1978 graduate of Chenoa High School in Chenoa, Illinois, Donald worked for TP & W Railroads in Peoria, Illinois. He then worked for Pantagraph Printing for 10 years in Bloomington, Illinois. After moving to Frankfort in 1999, Donald spent 25 years at The Donaldson Company.
Donald dearly loved his family and was an avid train enthusiast from early childhood. He also enjoyed reading about WWII.
After becoming a Christian as a young man, his life of devotion to his Savior was evident in his daily life. Donald was a member of the Rowe St. Pilgrim Holiness Church of Frankfort where he served as treasurer. Singing with his family was a blessing to all.
In addition to his wife of 38 years, Debbie, Donald is survived by his daughter, Carrie of Frankfort; his son, Charles of New Castle; mother, Donna Hanna; sister, Deborah Norfleet; brother-in-law, Joseph Cassady; sister-in-law, Barb (Dave) Coose; brother-in-law, Duane (Cindy) Summitt; and sister-in-law, Kathy Summitt and her special dog, Roscoe; as well as loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents; stepfather, Dale Hanna; mother-in-law, Dolores Summitt; sister-in-law, Sharon Cassady; niece, Stacy Cassady; Nephew, James Cassady; and great niece, Mecenzie Bickel.
Visitation will be held, Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from, 1pm until the time of the service at 3pm at Day & Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort. Rev. William Stucker will officiate.
