Donald A. (Don) Felty, 62, of Frankfort Indiana, passed away Friday March 30 at Clinton Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born February 19, 1956 in Frankfort, Indiana to William T. and Alice M. (Taylor) Felty. Don graduated from Frankfort Indiana High School in 1974. Don wrestled on the varsity team in High School and was in several High School musicals.
He graduated from Purdue University in December, 1976 with an Associate of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering Technology. He also received a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management degree from Purdue University in May, 1979. He was a distinguished student at Purdue University for six consecutive semesters. Don worked at Rexnord Corporate Information Center in Indianapolis, Indiana as a Senior Information Systems Consultant for many years.
Don loved the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, and visiting with family. Don had a passion for Purdue University basketball.
His family includes Sister in law Valerie (Bill) Felty of Elizabeth City, North Carolina, Brothers Tom (Jeanne) Felty of Frankfort, Tim (Kelly) Felty of Frankfort, a very special cousin Donna (Jerry) Bray of Lafayette, Indiana who was like a sister, a Niece, and four Nephews, as well as several Great and Great Great Nieces and Nephews, and many other loving Cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Brothers Randall L. Felty, William (Bill) E. Felty, and Nephew Travis E. Felty.
In accordance to Don’s wishes, there will be no memorial or grave side service. The family will hold a private celebration of life at a later time. Arrangements are entrusted to Genda Funeral Home.
