Donald J. Mockerman, Jr., 86, of Lafayette, passed away July 8, 2026 at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette. He was born on August 9, 1939 in Frankfort to Donald James and Ethel Martha (Swift) Mockerman. He married Betty J. Martin on December 25, 1958 and she preceded him in death on September 19, 2024.
Donald was a 1957 graduate of Rossville High School and had driven a truck for ALCOA in Lafayette for nearly 38 years. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and bird watching.
Surviving are his children: Konnie Herrington of Mulberry, Donna Walker of Lafayette, James Mockerman of Lafayette, and Dianna (Jay) Bennett of Lafayette, 7 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren, along with his sister: Deanna Byrd of Frankfort.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son-in-law: David Walker, and sister: Konnie Mockerman.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2026 at Goodwin Funeral Home, 200 S. Main St., Frankfort. Friends may visit from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
