Donald Wayne Gorman Jr. 70, of Monticello, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at I.U. Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born June 2, 1947, in Frankfort to Donald Wayne and Nygetta Rose (Dooley) Gorman Sr.
Donald was a 1965 graduate of Frankfort High School and had attended Indiana University. He served his country for several years in the United States Air Force. Donald enjoyed fishing, singing and writing music, playing his guitar, drawing, camping, and more than anything, spending time with his grandkids. He had worked for many years in construction and HVAC for several companies in the area.
Donald is survived by his mother, Nygetta of Frankfort; son, L.D. (Renee) Gorman of Monticello; sisters, Jacque (John) Clements and Kathy Shelley both of Frankfort; grandsons, Joseph and Ethan Gorman; and granddaughter, Janessa Whitaker.
He was preceded in death by his father.
A memorial gathering will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort with a service and military honors to follow at 4 P.M.
