Donation From Family Of Russel Williams To The Arc Of Clinton County

The family of Russell Lawrence “Bowser” Williams held the first annual Russell’s Rumble on October 8th, 2023.

The fundraiser was held in remembrance of Russell and his commitment to children with special needs.

Russell was a 2014 Frankfort High School graduate who was on active duty with the U.S. Navy as a 2nd Class Petty Officer when he was killed on May 25th, while riding his motorcycle.

Bowser, as he was known by his friends, had a passion for riding his motorcycle, working on cars, the demolition derby, and being with family and friends.

In Norfolk Virginia Bowser belonged to the Forgotten Soulz RC. Many of his fellow group members had children with autism. Russell participated in giving back to those children and other special need children in the community. Bowser’s big heart, willingness to help others and his ability to treat everyone as equals, made the families decision to hold an event that would benefit children in his hometown an easy one.

The donation of $1,527.00 was presented to Sandra Stevenson, Executive Director of The Arc of Clinton County by Bowser’s father Thomas Williams. Thomas wanted to thank all who supported the Rumble and to give a special thank you to Anita Cochran for all her work on the event. The Arc of Clinton County will use the donation to buy Christmas gifts for the Annual Christmas Party for Special People being held next month in collaboration with the Frankfort Moose Lodge.
